5 Dividend Stocks You Can Hold Forever [Johnson & Johnson, Chevron Corporation, Deere & Company, Union Pacific Corporation, Archer Daniels Midland Company] - Seeking Alpha

Here is a good article on buying and holding certain quality companies forever.  Although the dividends are much smaller than REITs and MLPs, all of the companies that the author talked about are worth owning for a diversified portfolio strategy.  I especially like UNP and CVX among the stocks that were discussed.
