This is a great article about how several large hedge fund leaders are advising investors against owning stocks and bonds. While I agree in principle with these top investors, money can still be made in preferred stock ETFs, CEFs, and long term bonds. I concur that future returns will be reduced from what we are accustomed to seeing, but some of the stocks that I own will average 5% or more on average in returns. I recommend owning PFF, FFC, HTD, and BLV to keep making money while uncertainty continues about the total stock market direction.
