This is an excellent article giving significant reasons for why we are at a stock market top. I prefer to look at economic indicators before going fully defensive, and we are not currently in danger there yet. However, I have built a significant position in TLT, the 20+ year treasury bond ETF in case something goes wrong. If the Chicago Fed CFNAI (national economic activity index) reading goes below -1.00, it will be time to go completely defensive on stocks.
