For what it is worth, here is an article on the Hindenburg Omen.  I personally think we have better indicators for stock market direction.  For example, the St. Louis Federal Reserve website has many charts about how the economy is doing, and we are doing okay right now.  The current storm clouds are worries about war in Syria and budget battles in Congress in September and October.  These bad news items may indeed send the stock market down for a while.  Many popular ETFs are listed at the end of the article, and you can choose either bull or bear ETFs depending on which direction you think the stock market is headed.
