Gross National Product (GNP) - FRED - St. Louis Fed
Here is a chart of the Gross National Product. It is similar to the GDP but with a few technical differences. GNP is usually slightly higher than GDP. As of 9-26-13, the GNP was 16, 907.9 billion dollars. This is important compared to the Wilshire 5000 which now stands at 18, 817 billion dollars. In other words, the Wilshire 5000 is overvalued compared to GNP. According to Warren Buffett, whenever this happens, stocks are about to crash. It happened in 2000 and 2007, and it is due to start happening again sometime soon.
