This is a great article about SCD, a Legg Mason closed-end fund with a 7.7% dividend. The stock is heavily weighted in MLPs and REITs, but it is probably a good way to play these areas in a safe way. There is possible capital appreciation with the fund, and you do not have to worry about filling out MLP K-1 tax forms.
